living in Mexico

A new blog... why? So many blogs to be found on the internet, why should I write something that probably already has been written before.
Don't know, maybe just good to write it off. Maybe just because writing it down, sometimes makes it real or just makes you think about it. Feelings, thoughts, ideas... who knows.

Nobody has to read my blog if they don't want to. Just some thoughts about someone far away from "home" I guess. You can react to my ideas... agree... disagree, but please, these are my honest and profound thoughts, so perhaps you can respect them as I am always respecting other peoples opinions.

Let me start with introducing myself for the people who don't know me. My name is Ferry. I am the president of a Dutch foundation (Amiguito) that is working actively in Colima, Mexico. Also I am the director of an organization that is called DICE.
I am living in Mexico with my family: Ana, my wife from Chile... and our two Mexican daughters Isabella and Juliana. We also have a dog, a boxer named Ali (yes, named after Mohammed Ali, the greatest boxer of all time).

Working in a different culture and living amongst people from another culture gave me a lot to think about. Thoughts about this culture, but also about my own western and european culture. This is my personal blog with my personal thoughts about this. Also news fascinates me and I would like to express my opinion about news topics as well.

Again... respect my thoughts, but I am willing to discuss!
